We noticed that while other countries had well-established comparison platforms, Australia's options were limited. Australians were left to navigate a complex market on their own - visiting multiple websites, deciphering Product Disclosure Statements, and trying to figure out which provider offered the best value for their situation.
We built Compare.com.au to change that. Starting with car insurance - the most commonly searched insurance product in Australia - we've expanded to cover 21 insurance types including home, contents, health, life, travel, pet, landlord, motorcycle, renters, business, boat, farm, and more.
Our team researches every provider, reviews customer ratings from platforms like Google, Feefo, Trustpilot, and Canstar, and presents the information in a format that's easy to understand and act on.
We're based in Australia and focused entirely on the Australian market. We understand the unique aspects of insurance here - from Medicare and AFCA to CTP requirements and the role of ASIC and APRA in regulating the industry.
